Hi there! Moonshot is looking for a talented Quality Assurance leader to join our team! This person will lead the process of testing our first game across all its platforms. Part of that is digging deep into the design to understand the game, and then building a strategy with internal and external partners to test all systems. This is a great opportunity for someone to join a team early in its lifecycle and play a big role in establishing process and methodology for years to come. What your day to day will look like…
- Spearhead test plan creation in collaboration with Design, Engineering, Art, and Production
- Create and maintain the release schedule and ensure alignment across key partners and vendors
- Communicate with the team regarding key project plans, commitments, and essential changes which include, schedule, scope changes, release engineering requirements and QA plans
- Manage the relationship with external testing partners in a way that reflects our studio values
- Collaborate with central Dreamhaven Publishing to ensure appropriate localization QA, certification testing, and hardware config testing are fulfilling studio requirements
- Identify the risks that can delay the release and manage them, such that the scope scheduled, and quality of the release is not affected
- Lead and coordinate the Go-Live activities including release readiness reviews, release runbooks and postmortem reviews following release
- Organize playtests across the team; lead the efforts around build tracking, issue reporting and coordination of playtest environments
Some of the things you bring to the table…
- Experience leading testing teams through all phases of the game development process and delivering high quality releases consistently
- Experience as a Live Producer, Certification or QA Lead for a live service title, or Release Manager on a multi-platform console game
- Team management experience including excellent communication skills, streamlining workflows, tracking dependencies, long term planning, and personnel coaching
- Understanding of territory rating and compliance requirements, console certification and submission requirements
- Detail oriented with strong project management and organizational skills
- Expertise with Jira to create and optimize bug flows, track milestones, share burndown charts, and effectively curate the bug database
- Willingness to jump in and help test all areas of our game and platform
- Contribute ideas to help explore game concepts across the development process
- Experience with Unreal development and/or console submissions is a plus!
The base salary range for this position is $107,495 to $179,158 USD per year, which is associated with our Level 4 salary band. The range listed for this position is just one component of Dreamhaven’s total compensation package for team members and exact compensation may vary based on skills and experience. Total compensation also includes equity, comprehensive benefits and will also include profit sharing in the future.
