Once More Unto the Reach—Wildgate™ Blasts Off!

July 22, 2025

Space crime summer officially kicks off with today’s launch on Steam, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation®5.

Calling all prospectors! Wildgate, the bodacious blend of high-stakes spaceship battles and intense first-person shootouts from Dreamhaven studio Moonshot Games, has just launched on Steam, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation®5! Scrappy crews from across the galaxy are now invited to make their way into the Reach in search of fortune, fame, fun—and some truly frenetic firefights.

In Wildgate, players form small teams and take command of a customizable craft that serves as their home and lifeline in the most hostile sector of space. As they journey through the Reach—procedurally generated and full of locations to explore, enemies to encounter, and loot to plunder—they’ll fight to be the first to find the mysterious Artifact and escape with their precious bounty . . . or simply be the last ship flying once all the turrets stop firing and the stardust settles.

In celebration of the launch, players can pick up a sweet selection of sprays and even a ship style by logging in, linking up their accounts, and watching some of their favorite Wildgate creators on Twitch. See the Wildgate Launch Drops and Login Rewards blog for all the details.

The Reach beckons. Whether you achieve glory or go down with your ship, odds are you’ll leave with a story to tell . . . as well as some fresh tactics for your next round.

We want to congratulate the Moonshot Games team on achieving their daring five-year mission to create an out-of-this-world experience with Wildgate. We’ve had a firsthand view of all the effort that’s gone into making this game, and it’s clearly been a labor of love. We can’t wait for prospectors around the world to jump in and enjoy the results!
