Dreamhaven and its affiliates (referred to as “Dreamhaven”, “us”, “we”, or “our”), are about providing a safe haven for dreams and those who create them.  Your privacy is important to us, and we will always try to treat you and your personal information with care and respect.  

This Privacy Policy describes our privacy practices and principles, including how we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect your personal information.  This policy does not apply to information collected by Dreamhaven offline or in connection with employment related matters.  See the Dreamhaven Candidate Policy for more information.  This policy also does not apply to third parties we do not own or control, and we are unable to guarantee that such independent third parties adhere to the same privacy practices as us.  For example, this policy does not apply when you clink on a link to an external website operated by a third party.  We encourage you to read such third party’s privacy policies and practices before sharing your personal information with them.

What type of information do you collect?

The information we collect depends on what services you use and how you use them.  The type of information we collect may include:

  • Contact information, such as your name, email address, address, phone number, and company affiliation.
  • Geolocation data, if your device settings allow us to collect such information.
  • Device and browsing information, including non-personally identifiable information about your phone, tablet, computer or device and online browsing activity, which may be automatically collected.  This may include IP addresses, unique identifiers, cookie identifiers, browser language, device and browser settings and location-based information, and internet service provider information.  It may also include information about when and how you accessed and used our website, how you navigated our website (such as the date and time of your visit), the websites you visited before and after our website, and what you searched for on our website. 

How do you collect my personal information?

We collect information that you provide us directly.  We may also gather certain information automatically using tracking technologies such as cookies.

Dreamhaven may use cookies and similar technologies such as Javascript, Web beacons, and GIFs to better understand the usage of our site and to enhance your experience.

Dreamhaven may also use third party analytic technologies such as Google Analytics which place and read their own cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to collect information through our websites, including to help us with traffic measurement, research, and analytics.

Can I turn off cookies?

You can change your preferences and refuse to allow certain types of cookies to be stored on your computer while browsing our websites. You can also remove any cookies already stored on your computer, but keep in mind that deleting cookies may prevent you from using certain parts of our websites. 

Please note that we are not able to respond to Do Not Track signals from your browser at this time.

How do you use my personal information?

We use personal information to operate, maintain, and provide the features and functionality of our website, including:

We do not share, sell (as the term is defined under applicable privacy laws, such as the California Consumer Privacy Act), or disclose your personal information, other than with the third party service providers provided herein.

When such third parties collect or receive personal information, we require them to only use the data for the performance of the applicable services and for purposes consistent with this policy.

With your consent, we may also share your personal information with business partners or unaffiliated third parties.

We may also share information with third parties in an aggregated or otherwise anonymized form that does not reasonably identify you as an individual.  For example, we may use and share aggregated or anonymized data to describe the users of our websites. 

In the event Dreamhaven is involved in a merger, acquisition, transfer of control, bankruptcy, reorganization or sale of assets, we may transfer all information we collect to the applicable third party.

Lastly, we reserve the right to disclose your information to protect our rights or if we are required to do so by law.

How do you store and protect my personal information?

Dreamhaven is committed to protecting the personal information of its users. 

Dreamhaven stores and processes the personal information we collect for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy in the United States and other countries where our third party agents operate. We maintain such personal information on secure servers and for as long as is necessary for the purpose(s) for which we originally collected it. We may also retain personal information as required by law.

Although no data protection system is 100% perfect, Dreamhaven has adopted reasonable technical, administrative, and physical procedures to help protect your personal information from loss, misuse, and alteration, including encryption as appropriate. 

What about children under the age of 13?

Dreamhaven recognizes the special obligation to protect the privacy of children online.  Dreamhaven is not directed to children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13.   If you believe that we might have any information from or about a child under the age of 13, please contact us at privacy@dreamhaven.com.

“Do Not Sell My Personal Information” (California Residents only)

California residents may opt out of the “sale” of their personal information. California law broadly defines “sale” in a way that may include allowing third parties to receive certain information such as cookies, IP address and/or browsing behavior to add to a profile about your device, browser, or you. 

Other than as specified herein, Dreamhaven does not share your personal information with third parties.

Shine the Light (California Residents only) 

California residents have the right to request a list of all third parties to which we have disclosed certain personal information (as defined by California’s Shine the Light law) during the preceding year for those third parties’ direct marketing purposes.  

Please note that we do not share your personal information with unaffiliated third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.  California residents who have specific questions regarding this may contact us at privacy@dreamhaven.com.  

What choices do I have regarding the collection, use, and sharing of my personal information?

We give you choices when it comes to the use and collection of your information.  For example, if you no longer wish to receive marketing emails from us, you may click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the marketing email we sent.

You can also access or delete the personal information we have associated with you by contacting us at privacy@dreamhaven.com.  Note that some personal data may be retained as permitted by law (e.g. to comply with legal obligations, to prevent fraud, etc.).   

How will you know when we update this policy?

Dreamhaven may revise this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the law, our practices, or our website or service features. When we do so, we will notify you by changing the date at the top of this policy.  If we have your email address, we will also notify you by email before we make any material changes to this Privacy Policy to give you the opportunity to review the revised policy and opt out of our services if applicable.

Non-material changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Please periodically review this Privacy Policy so that you are up to date on our most current privacy policies and practices.
